People will do almost anything to get rid of bed bugs. Disposing of furniture is typically one of those things people do.
We arrived at a clients place to find furniture out on the front yard ready for disposal. It was April and the outside temp was 5 deg C.
We found completely infested furniture out there. One cannot leave infested furniture outside, someone will come by and pick it up for salvage. Bed bugs will survive cold temperatures, they just slow down, they don’t die.
We treated the furniture and instructed the client to dispose of it properly. He agreed to do this the following day. Unfortunately when we arrived the next day someone already picked up the furniture for salvage.
